Third Member of Probate-Court Appointed Russell Park Board Sworn In

Donna Weiss Carson joins Scott Wayt and Dennis Suhay

Donna Weiss Carson, a 38-year resident of Russell Township, has been appointed as the third member of the probate court-appointed Russell Township Park District Board of Commissioners.

Weiss Carson was sworn in Jan. 2, for a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2020. She joins Scott Wayt and Dennis Suhay, who were appointed to the board in last November.

“I am proud to have served to help protect and preserve the quality of life that our community has enjoyed and wishes to continue,” Weiss Carson of her appointment. “I want to help preserve our environment, wisely and expeditiously, for the benefit of our community and the future.”

Weiss Carson served 20 years on the Russell Township Zoning Commission.

In addition, she has served as treasurer of the Geauga County Historical Society, secretary of the Western Reserve Historical Society Museum Advisory Council and president of the Russell Civic Club, and has been a member of the Chagrin Valley Women’s Club.

Having retired from IBM Corporation, Weiss Carson currently owns a local antique store in Chagrin Falls.
